Student United Way Engage Application

Student United Way Engage is a United Way of Norman program for high school freshmen that prepares participants for effective leadership in community service. The program selects applicants who demonstrate a commitment to addressing the social challenges of today’s youth, a desire to develop personal leadership skills, and an enthusiasm for volunteerism.

Applications are due to the United Way office, 570 24th Ave NW, Ste 110, no later than Friday, December 13, Noon.

Attendance

In order to receive full benefit from participating in Engage, participants must be able to assure their regular attendance. Participants who miss more than one session may not be able to complete the course sessions and graduate

Program Cost

Cost for the program is $80 to fund meals and supplies. (Scholarships are available. Call Diane Murphree at 405.329.2025 for information.) Program fees will be collected once applicants are notified. Only 30 applicants can be accepted into the program. Applicants will be notified of acceptance via letter by the first of January.
