#MentorNorman

Positive role models are critical for children to grow, thrive and succeed.

In Norman, more than 550 children are currently in need of an active, present role model. In fact, nearly 50 percent of Norman’s students participate in the free and reduced lunch program, which means many local families struggle to meet the basic needs for their children. This can make it even more difficult for caregivers to be available to provide emotional support for their children.

Mentors can make a difference for these kids, who simply need additional caring adults in their life to provide encouragement and guidance, while cheering them on to reach their full potential.

Mentor opportunities exist for every lifestyle and schedule. Be who you needed when you were a child... you can make a difference.
